PLEASE REMEMBER: Materials may be delivered only during specified operating times and will be rejected if not properly prepared!
How to Prepare Items for Recycling:
- Bi-Metal Cans: Remove the label and rinse thoroughly. (No paint cans.)
- Glass Containers: Rinse, remove lids, and separate by color. (No window glass, dishes or drinking glasses, ceramics, pottery, light bulbs, etc.)
- Plastic Bottles: Remove caps, rinse, and flatten. (No butter dishes, motor oil bottles, brake fluid bottles, plastic bags, styrofoam, or packing peanuts.)
- Newspapers: Make sure all newspaper is clean and dry, then place into paper bags
- Magazines and Catalogues: Make sure magazines are clean and dry; recycle only glossy paper
- Cardboard: Corrugated cardboard only
- Aluminum: Beverage and food cans only. (No paint or aerosol cans, frying pans, etc.)
Other Important Guidelines
- Only listed items may be brought to the recycling center
- All items must be sorted prior to arrival
- You are responsible for unloading your recyclables
- Place recyclables in the appropriate collection roll-offs
- Any items brought to the recycling center that are not acceptable MUST BE TAKEN HOME WITH YOU
- Please observe the hours of operation – ALL OTHER drop-offs will be considered littering and will be subject to fines
