Friday will focus on the downtown with entertainment, store specials and music. Saturday will be more of the same, plus demonstrations, music and food vendors in the historic district around the Elias Church. Held in conjunction with Mifflinburg’s Annual Buggy Day, there will be demonstrations in buggy striping, chair caning, blacksmithing, needlework and broom making in addition to tours, buggy rides and a special exhibit marking the 150th anniversary of the Mifflinburg Telegraph.

The Monthly meeting of the Susquehanna Valley Spinners and Weavers Guild will be held at The Daily Grind in Vicksburg. We will be learing Fleece Preparation from member Joy McCracken. Learn the ins and outs of getting a fleece ready to spin or felt. Joy will lead the discussion of tips and tools used to make the chore easy and enjoyable. New members and guests are welcome.

This will be a hands on workshop to explain abstract designs and why they work in the fiber arts. There will be a discussion of sources of inspiration as well as a display of Anna Raschi's tapistries and Lori Weaver's felted scarves. Learn how to express joy, serenity, etc. into your work.
